Experience Fall on 30A: The Perfect End-of-Year Getaway

Post Office in Seaside decorated for fall

With fewer crowds, better rates, and stunning sunsets that seem to linger a little longer, fall is the perfect time to slow down and enjoy a taste of the beach life on 30A.

Here’s a few reasons why we love the fall season on 30A (and you will too!)

Bonfires on the Beach

Fall is the perfect time to experience a sunset bonfire on the beach! Imagine ending your day on the sandy shore, surrounded by family, listening to the sound of the ocean, feeling the warmth of a crackling bonfire, and savoring the chocolate, marshmallow-y goodness of s’mores — for the kids and kids at heart.

Book a bonfire with 30A Blaze, and they will handle the permit, setup, breakdown and chairs.

Visit Grayton Beach State Park

In the cooler months of the year, it is much easier to visit local state parks—whether you are biking, snorkeling, or hiking.

Grayton Beach State Park is one of our favorites. Here you can enjoy fishing, swimming, hiking, paddle boarding, or kayaking. Admission to the park is $5 per car year-round. Located between Watercolor and the Grayton Community, you can easily grab lunch at one of the local restaurants.

While you’re here, make sure to watch for birds. Fall is the best time for birdwatching on 30A. See if you can spot the red-headed woodpeckers and prothonotary warblers. If you’re lucky, you may spot a great horned owl!

Biking

Our Grayt 30A Vacationers like to use their beach gear credit to rent bikes — and for good reason! Fall is the perfect time to explore the area’s scenic trails. We highly recommend the Timpoochee Trail, which runs the entire length of 30A and is ideal for both biking and walking.

All of our homes are located right along 30A, where biking is a favorite way to get around. Our communities are incredibly bike-friendly, with convenient and safe bike parking available everywhere — from Seaside to your favorite local restaurants.
