Our Favorite Donut Shops and Bakeries on 30A

Our stretch of paradise on 30A is full of bakeries and donut shops that are worth waking up early for. From classic to gourmet, here are some of our team’s favorite spots for donuts, pastries, beignets, and more!

The Donut Hole

The Donut Hole is practically legendary around here. With locations in Santa Rosa Beach, Inlet Beach, and Destin, it’s the kind of place locals and vacationers alike will happily stand in line for. And you will stand in line, especially during peak season. But trust us, the wait is worth it. The Donut Hole is a 30A tradition you shouldn’t skip!

Pro tip: The earlier you get there, the better your chances of snagging your favorites before they sell out.

Parlor Donuts

Parlor Donuts takes the donut game to a whole new level. Think flaky, layered donuts that eat more like a mix of a croissant and a cronut. The flavors rotate and range from playful (Cookie Butter, S’mores) to refined (Maple Bacon, Bourbon Caramel). They’re not your classic glazed or cake donuts, but a category all to themselves! Perfect for the foodie in your group who wants something new and memorable.

Heirloom Donuts

For donuts that feel crafted with care, Heirloom Donuts is the spot. These donuts are made with fun and flavor in mind. We’re talking sprinkles galore, flavored icings, and a make-your-own donut bar—you choose the icing, the toppings, and more and invent your own creation! It’s the kind of place where you can the family can go hangout a while, or if the fam wants to sleep in, you can wake up early and bring a box back to the beach house for everyone to enjoy at their leisure.

Dough Sea Dough

If you’re hungering for a classic glazed, jelly-filled, or sprinkle-topped donut that takes you back to your childhood, Dough Sea Dough delivers. They’re known for doing the traditional donut styles really, really well. Grab a dozen, and everyone in your group—from kids to grandparents—will find something they love.

Black Bear Bread Co.

So this one’s not technically just a donut shop, but Black Bear Bread Co. is beloved for its artisan pastries and breads and Parisian-style café. Bagels, croissants, scones, muffins (including gluten-free and vegan options), and their famous homemade Pop-Tarts—everything here feels like it came out of a European bakery.

Insider tip: Jorgi swears by the rotating Pop-Tarts, but the cinnamon rolls also deserve their own fan club.

Blue Mountain Bakery

If you’re feeding a big crowd, Blue Mountain Bakery is a lifesaver. Their giant cinnamon rolls come in six-packs that are perfect for bringing back to the beach house and sharing with the whole family. Beyond the sweet treats, they’ve got delicious scones and even hearty breakfast burritos for those who want something savory. Plus, they keep gluten-free folks in mind with several options.

Beignets & Brew

For a little taste of New Orleans on the Emerald Coast, head to Beignets & Brew French Donuts. Light, airy, and coated in powdered sugar. Pair it with a hot coffee or iced latte, and you’ll be ready to start your day with a smile (and probably a dusting of sugar on your shirt).
